Twenty-four and not President, yet. As a young idealist living in L.A. that was the working-title of my first book. It was a compilation of anecdotal stories. A sort of interview with myself, because I do love to give my opinion on most anything. Just ask my friends. LOL! Three takeaways from that early-on, failed experiment: 24 is incredibly young; when setting any goal – baby-steps and huge amounts of time are a great way to avoid epic failure; and interviewing myself wasn’t nearly as interesting as I had hoped it would be – for the interviewer or interviewee.
Fast forward to me, a few years older (wink-wink) and hopefully wiser living my best life in N.Y. My greatest gift and joy is being Mom to my two amazing daughters. My eldest is funny, bold, and wicked smart. She’s as impressively artistic as she is business savvy. My youngest has Mosaic Down syndrome. She has enlightened and inspired me in innumerable and beautiful ways – and often with a sense of humor.
In general, I find life and people interesting. I do believe my life journey has been interesting, so far. Growing up, I went to 11 different schools, I’ve lived in 4 different states, and traveled to 15+ countries. I think those numbers are about right. lol! I’ve had an odd assortment of jobs, including making sofa buttons, donuts, and cooking corn dogs. Sadly, but probably for the best, my youthful dream of becoming a rock star never materialized. It started with the failure of my first and last band – “The Wanna Be’s”. It could’ve been the name.
As a child, when I wasn’t singing into the upright vacuum as my mic, I loved reading. I spent countless hours enjoying Astrid Lindgren, Judy Blume, and Beverly Clearly. Later, I discovered Erma Bombeck and thought she was the funniest thing I’d ever read, until I read Oscar Wilde’s Importance of Being Earnest – and I’ve been torn ever since.
Nowadays, I love reading, watching shows and movies with my kids – and writing. Stories are magical. They transport us to another place in time. When I write, I’m awed at the discovery as characters and their stories come to life. I write about what I’m passionate about and that’s humanity – kindness, diversity, inclusion, love – and laughter. I hope audiences will enjoy and find my works to be fun, compelling, heartwarming stories with engaging characters – and always – healthy doses of love and laughter. Welcome to my site.

Earth To Andromeda: Hurtling Towards Calamity
Have you ever traveled to another planet? Or, talked to an alien?
Andromeda’s family wins the Intergalactic Visa Lottery allowing them to leave their home planet to live on Earth for a year. Talk about super lucky! But when her family lands in a tiny Texas town, Andromeda finds life on the third planet from the Sun light-years away from what she expected. While hoping for a low-key, possibly even fab year, reality hits closer to haywire. At school, Andromeda quickly acquires a love interest, an archenemy, a BFF, and falls in with a ragtag group of outsiders. Unfortunately, her Interplanetary Earth Guide failed to prepare her for bullies and less than neighborly behavior. After repeated humiliations at the hands of bullies, she and her new friends decide to boldly take a stand performing in the talent show?!
As if the school drama isn’t stressful enough, Andromeda’s family is wreaking havoc of their own around town. Between unauthorized spaceship landings, otherworldly visitors, and outlawed intergalactic technology, Andromeda feels certain she’s hurtling towards calamity.
